New Module Feature: Flash Image Rotator!

The Image Rotator allows you to upload images and create a small slide show of banners and text on the home page of your website. Each image can have title and description text that will flash across the top of the image, plus each image can have a URL link that allows the image to be clicked. The images will fade from one to the next automatically, or a user can jump to a specific slide by clicking the buttons in the rotator.

To turn on the Image Rotator module on your home page: Login to your website as an admin. Scroll to the bottom of the home page center column and select the Image Rotator module in the module drop down menu. Enter a number into the order field to specify the position of the module in the center column, and click the Add Module button. To remove the module from the home page, click the Show Modules link at the bottom of the home page, then click the small x button in the corner of the module.

To edit the Image Rotator module and add images to it: Go to the admin area of the website. Click the Features tab, then click the Flash Image Rotator link. On the next page you can start adding images with text and links to the Image Rotator.

Registered members can now upload a profile icon or picture for their account. The profile icon will appear next to the users information when they post a message board topic or reply. The profile icon feature can be turned off if you do not wish to allow users to upload a profile icon. Go to the admin area, click the edit website setting link, scroll down to the feature settings area, set the allow profile icon option to no.

The Make Your Voice Count forms allow users to send a direct email containing a pre-composed subject and message to the representatives that you specify for the form. For example, create a campaign to allow users to send a message to the mayor and all city council members of your city urging them to vote for a certain piece of legislation. You must specify the exact address of each recipient. The email message will appear to come directly from the users email address and will contain their contact info that they enter into the form.

The setup a make your voice count form, go to the admin area, select the Make Your Voice Count Forms link.

You can now allow multiple selections for a voting subject in the voting area. You can specify how many selections a user can make, and the system will not allow a user to vote for any more than options than designated amount. This will allow for selecting more than one person in a vote when the position call for it.
